Oropouche virus disease in Brazil
As of 15 October 2024, a total of 8,258 confirmed cases of Oropouche virus disease have been reported in Brazil since the start of the year. The northern states have been most affected. One fetal death and one congenital anomaly have been reported associated with the infection. Other cases are currently being investigated.
