Mpox in Uganda

As of 29 December 2024, the World Health Organization has recorded 1,303 confirmed mpox cases and six deaths in Uganda in 2024. This is an increase of 177 cases from the last report on 20 December 2024. The clade type reported in Uganda is clade Ib. Please see our Topics in Brief article for further details on mpox.
